Finish grading is the process of clearing and smoothing out land to prepare it for sod, hydro seed, planting, home or land preparation or whatever the next step may be for you. Finish grading is the final grade done to the land. The Finish Grade is the foundational manicure of every fine lawn. It provides the final shaping and prepares the seed bed or sod base for completion. Before finish grading can begin, the rough grade must be set within 1” of the final grade, and proper drainage established. Our finish grading equipment is designed to remove extra rock and debris from the seedbed while pulverizing the soil, creating a smooth finish.
Many landscaping and hardscaping projects begin with excavation work. It is often necessary to perform grading and digging tasks prior to the installation of retaining walls, patios, porches and other backyard structures. For commercial projects, site preparation is the key to creating effective parking areas, driveways and more.
Many landscaping and hardscaping contractors are not able to perform excavating work. They often lack the experience and equipment necessary to get the job done right. At Clark Grading, we can do the entire excavation project for you. Clark Grading can service Industrial, Commercial and Residential.
Preventing or controlling wind or water erosion in agriculture, land development and construction. This sometimes involves the creation of a physical barrier, such as vegetation or rock, to absorb some of the energy of the wind or water that is causing the erosion. Effective erosion controls are important techniques in preventing water pollution and soil loss. Erosion control may arise in natural areas, agricultural settings or urban environments, the latter of which is often characterized as stormwater runoff driven. On construction sites they are often implemented in conjunction with sediment controls such as sediment basins and silt fences.
